BIOGRAFÍA
Dani Pujalte (1985, Barcelona) vive y trabaja en Barcelona donde alterna sus proyectos personales con encargos comerciales. Su trabajo se centra en la exploración de paisa- jes ambiguos y singulares como herramienta para abordar problemáticas culturales y sociales. Después de licenciarse en derecho por la Universidad de Barcelona, estudia fotografía en en el IEFC y Paris I. Una vez acabados sus estudios sus primeros proyectos perso- nales son seleccionados en festivales y exposiciones internacionales. En 2015 recibe la beca fotopres para la realización del proyecto Good luck with the future junto a Rita Puig-Serra que dará lugar a una publicación y exposiciones en Caixa forum Barcelona, Madrid y la galería Jacques Cerami en Bélgica. A su vez la publicación ha sido expuesta en diferentes festivales y quedó finalista entre los mejores libros del año en Anamorpho- sis Prize curado por Anouk Kruithof. En paralelo a su actividad como fotógrafo, coordina el curso de fotolibros en la escuela el Observatorio durante las dos primeras ediciones y se ocupa de la galería y librería Wer-haus entre 2015/2017 donde realiza exposiciones y crea estrechas colaboraciones con IMA concept Tokyo y Mack Books. Su último trabajo Rond Point Colobane (2015-...) ha sido seleccionado recientemente en el festival de Arles Voies Off y Encontros da Imagen y finalista en el dummy book award de Landskrona festival.
STATEMENT DEL ARTISTA
Utilizo el medio fotográfico para desarrollar proyectos desde una mirada personal . Mi trabajo se centra en la exploración de paisajes ambiguos y singulares como herramienta para abordar problemáticas culturales y sociales cercanas. A partir de aquí mi práctica discurre a través de la honestidad para capturar aquello que me rodea y construir una narración a través de imágenes que evoquen, sugestionen e interpelen al lector.
